St. Patrick's Day!

We had a blast exploring R all week through crafts, books and hands-on activities. 

We explored rainbows as we used pieces of construction paper. The children were able to explore scissors and cut different pieces and paste them to their rainbow. We also used Froot Loop cereal to count, sort and smell. 

We created robots using rectangles. The children name their robots. The children also explored the sides of a rectangle as we compared its shape to a square. 

We read the book, The Rainbow Fish, Pete the Cat: The Great Leprechaun Chase, and Green Shamrock. We also listened to the songs, Springtime, I'm a Little Leprechaun and G-R-E-E-N St. Patrick’s Day. 

Thank you to the class parents who came to our classroom and did such a cute craft with the children. We also had some Irish soda bread!

• NO SCHOOL

• Please contact the nurse and teacher if your child will be absent. 
• If your child will be absent please email teacher and nurse stating reason
• If you would like to celebrate your child's birthday, please contact the nurse one week before. Please send in store bought foods pre- packaged or boxed. 

-No goodie bags are allowed for birthday parties (No food)

• Please label ALL belongings such as  water bottles, food containers, lunch boxes, and clothing . 

• Please remind your children of the rules of the classroom such as looking eyes, calm bodies, and listening ears 
• Please inform the teacher if your child will be attending aftercare for the day. You can inform me the day before or in the morning.
