Immaculate Heart of Mary School offers a comprehensive educational experience that nurtures students academically, physically, and spiritually. At IHM, spirituality is woven into the fabric of daily life and integrated into all our activities. Through daily prayer, acts of service to others and our community, and the celebration of the Sacraments, we cultivate faith, understanding, acceptance, forgiveness, and love.

Our students take an active role in Mass, serving as readers, gift bearers, and altar servers. The IHM Choir enhances our worship with joyful songs, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere where children, families, and community members come together to celebrate the grace of our Lord.

Roman Catholic Doctrine

The doctrines and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church guide our school in curriculum, policy development, and moral and ethical issues.

Prayer and Worship

• The school day begins, ends, and is surrounded by opportunities for prayer.
• Students attend Mass as a school community on the First Friday of each month as well on Feast and Holy days.

 

Christian Witness

• Scripture and Catholic teaching are at the core of all we do.
• Our school community fosters an environment of mutual love and respect for all people.
• Our students are taught to make a difference by following the example of Christ.

Social Justice

• Our school participates in service projects that affect not only the local school community but all people beyond.
• Our school dedicates itself to Catholic Social teaching: Life and Dignity of the Human Person; Call to Family, Community, and Participation; Rights and Responsibilities; Option for the Poor and Vulnerable; The Dignity of Work and the Rights of Workers; Solidarity; Care for God’s creation.

 

Students are prepared for the reception of the sacraments. Second Grade students receive First Penance and First Holy Communion. Eighth Grade students receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Students in Grades 3-8 are given the opportunity for the reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation at different times during the year.

O Jesus,
through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and suffering of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. 
I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls,
reparation for sins, the reunion of all Christians;
I offer them for the intentions of our Bishops and of all Apostles of Prayer and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.
